The UNESCO Chair in Technology and Culture “Pere Duran Farell” was created in 1999 as a result of an agreement between UNESCO and UPC with the aim of researching and promoting the relationship between the cultural and technological dimensions of our current society. The agreement between UNESCO and UPC was renewed in June 2023.
