Documentos de la Escuela de Ingenieros Industriales de Barcelona

Documents de l'Escola d'Enginyers Industrials de Barcelona are edited since 1991 and are presented and distributed during the open ceremony of the course ETSEIB.


Them're also sent to Engineering Schools libraries of Spain and others from abroad. Since a few years ago are also sent to subscribers of Quaderns d'Història de l'Enginyeria.

This collection has been dedicated to present and analyze themost important documents in the story of the last 150 years of ETSEIB: the teaching contents, facilities and lab equipment, costs, budgets and School economic problems, relations between the school and the authorities and the industrial enviornment , the minor incidents that shape theix complex everyday life.

Each edition of the Documentos collection contains an introductory study that analyzes and contextualizes a period of the the story of ETSEIB, then reproduces the original edition of significant documents and finally includes a transcript of these manuscripts.

Documentos are known and valued in the academic world of ETSEIB and in the professional development of industrial engineers. But they are also known and used by the academic community of historians of science and technology.

All the issues published so far have offered to scholars and researchers around two thousand pages of documents (most of them are unpublished).

Both the initial studies of each issue as the documents presented aspire to be the starting point for further studies and further discussions. Such as them are necessary for a thorough understanding of technical education in Spain from the perspective of industrial engineering.
