Quaderns d'Història de l'Enginyeria
Quaderns d’Història de l’Enginyeria (Engineering Notebooks) was founded in 1996 by the Research Centre for the History of Technology. It was created to be a means of communication aimed at the research community and is published annually with the aim of serving the development of research in the scientific and technical fields. It currently has subscribers in Catalonia, Spain, several European countries and the United States.
The history of engineering is a speciality of the history of technology that deals with the role of engineers and, in general, technicians in history. This includes the history of technical education, that of professional activity, with its corporate expressions in colleges, institutes or associations, of its contributions to science and technological innovation, the history of its role in the development of industry, communications and the technification of society, and that of its political, social and cultural weight in different times and contexts, among other possible fields of study.

The published volumes of Quaderns d'Història de l'Enginyeria can be consulted in electronic format on the UPC's open access knowledge portal (UPCommons) or in paper format in the UPC libraries or in the library of the Research Center for the History of Technology.
