Aims

The five main objects of the UNESCO Chair of Technology and Culture

• Analyse the role of technology in society and its impact on culture. In particular, analyse the cultural impact of modern technological and scientific developments.

• Promote reflection and debate, within the university community and in society in general, around the impact of technology on culture, on daily life and on the ideas of our time (and vice versa).

• Promote the cultural content of university education. In particular, intensify the content on history of sciences. Organise didactic sessions and information activities that enhance the cultural offer of the University.

• Contribute to the comprehensive training of students, through courses, subjects and specialized bibliographic material, which provide knowledge and multidisciplinary points of view and allow technology to be covered in all its complexity and history.

• Carry out studies on the cultural dimension of technology.
